Aparthotel Miami Park

We loved our seven-night stay in the clean, comfortable two-bedroom apartment. Breakfast had plenty of good options, and my kids especially enjoyed the fresh pancakes. The pool and entertainment were really good too, and Carla was great with the children. The location is fantastic, near shops and lots of places to eat, with a beautiful beach about five minutes away on foot. Since we hadn’t visited the area before, it was lovely that Dina and Nora were so helpful with booking activities and planning our days out.

The good parts were the friendly hotel staff and the varied, tasty breakfast. The station is close by, which is handy if you plan to travel by train. Otherwise, I’d choose somewhere nearer the beach. I stayed five nights with my two children, aged 12 and 14, in a Junior Suite Superior room. The bathroom was cramped, the shower was broken, and a strong damp smell came from it. After the first night, a couple moved into the room next to ours. They made a lot of noise through the night, and the walls were so thin that I was awake for three of our five nights. The stay became stressful instead of restful. The gym was disappointing as well, and the bikes were in poor condition.

My kids loved the stay, and I’d consider coming back if we get a better room next time. The location was good, the staff polite, and the cleaning service and kids’ activities were nice. The entertainment team was great, especially Julia. We booked a pool-facing junior suite with two toilets for seven nights. The big problem was the noise. Our room was next to the waste product room with a tap, and whenever someone opened it, the sound in our room was like a drill. It started as early as 6 a.m. After three days of repeated complaints, the issue was sorted out. Aside from that disturbance, everything else was nice.

Calella is a lovely little resort and well worth a visit. We had such a great week that we’ll be returning. The hotel has everything close at hand, with the beach, train station, and main strip all within walking distance. We felt safe from the start, even walking around the resort itself. The staff always greeted us warmly, and the maids were lovely too. They worked hard and cleaned our room every day. A special shout-out to Tinni at the bar. She was incredible, worked so hard, and nothing was too much trouble. We felt like we’d known her forever and were sad to say goodbye. She’s a real credit to the hotel.
