Hotel Oasis Park Splash

The town and location were excellent, and I can’t fault them. The hotel itself, though, doesn’t feel four-star, three at a push. The pool was overcrowded and about 80% shaded. Some bar staff were rude, and the woman at reception had a vile attitude when I asked for toilet roll. I didn’t want cleaning staff going into our room because of previous reviews, and she glared at me and asked, “What do you want?” We flew on 21 September, expecting fewer places to be open than in peak season, but thought we could relax around the hotel and pool. Our flight was delayed and we reached the hotel around 2am. Check-in was fine, but even though we were all-inclusive and hadn’t eaten in a while, there was no food or drink provided, and nothing in the room. There was food on the lift floor, which made me regret the choice. The room was small but seemed okay at first. Then we found the area under the beds filthy and crusty snot on the toilet wall. The shower soaked the bathroom floor, so we were mopping it at 3am. The restaurant staff were lovely, but the food hall was so crowded you couldn’t take food to the room. If you couldn’t get a table, you had to eat standing up. There were three power cuts. At night and in the early morning, drunk people screamed on the stairs and in the corridors, waking us up with no thought for other guests.

The location is fantastic, and the children loved the hotel. The kids’ entertainment was great, though the stage is small and gets very cramped. Most of the staff are lovely, but some are sharp and rude. The food was my main issue. It was disgusting, undercooked, and tasteless, with very little choice for young children. I ended up paying extra for food every day, which isn’t what you want after paying so much for all-inclusive. Desserts had a good range, but still weren’t the best for kids. Rooms are small, and cleaners don’t change the bedding daily. The hotel doesn’t show or advertise excursions unless you ask, which I think is pointless. All in all, I’d call it a three-star hotel, definitely not four. I won’t return. It was my first time traveling alone with the kids.

The town was a disaster, with one square and one shopping street, and bars and restaurants shut all around. I’ve never seen so many homeless people and drunks in a holiday resort. This hotel was a nightmare, and I’d avoid it at all costs. The room was filthy. There were black hairs all over the bathroom floor, yellow urine stains under the toilet seat, and hairs from other guests on the towels, even though towels were replaced daily. The sheets weren’t changed during our stay. We also found our suitcase contents moved around after cleaners had been in the room, making it seem like they were looking for valuables. Beds were full of bed bugs that bit us every night. The hotel’s answer was to tell us to go to a pharmacy for bite cream. The food was disgusting, always cold, and left us sick for days. The pool was small, packed, freezing, and never got sun. The chlorine smell was unbearable, and there seemed to be more chlorine than water. If your child has allergies, be prepared with antihistamines, as their skin may turn bright red from the excess chlorine. The reception lady was obnoxious and rude, didn’t care about our concerns, and made us feel like a problem. If you’re not Spanish, expect to be treated like dirt. Four stars? Zero, and that’s generous. The good reviews are fake. I’m claiming a full refund from the travel company that sold this absolute nightmare to my family and me.

The hotel itself is nice, but some reception staff were extremely rude. We asked for the beds to be changed, yet they were only changed twice in a week. The food was absolutely awful, cold every day, and the butter was mouldy. The all-inclusive bar serves drinks in tiny plastic cups, just a few sips and you’re back at the bar. The entertainment was second to none, including a woman who brought parrots to the pool for the children. But the children weren’t allowed near them or to take photos, and she spent the whole time on her phone, so the visit felt pointless. Wouldn’t recommend it.
