Broncemar Beach Suites Hotel

Our apartment was freezing at night all week, and because it was directly above the stage, the evening entertainment was very loud. We might stay again, but only in summer. We arrived at broncemar on 20th December 2025 for a week over Christmas. The receptionist was polite and told us we had room 208. It was spacious and well equipped for self-catering, with a cooker, microwave, fridge, cookware, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses. There was a terrace with two sunbeds, a table and three chairs. The hotel was clean and well kept, with two pools, one heated and with shallow and deep ends. The smart TV kept losing its signal, so it was no use. The hotel is near restaurants and shops, and only a 10-minute transfer from the airport.

We had a great self-catering stay in these self-contained bungalows. The facilities and staff were lovely, and the location was handy, with everything we needed on site and just a short walk to town and the nearby beach.

The manager said he didn’t have time to talk to me, and the staff didn’t seem to care when I complained. I’d booked a premium room through the website, but there was nothing premium about it. The website listed toiletries, bathrobes and a minibar, and we had none of them. When we raised it, all we got was an apology and the explanation that they hadn’t received any. I’d also emailed to ask if an iron was available and was told it wouldn’t be a problem. On arrival, they said that facility had been scrapped two weeks earlier, so we had to spend €20 on an iron. My husband and I stayed for a week. The place is overpriced, and I don’t understand how it has four stars.

The location is great, with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, and there was a nice pool. The entertainment was average, and I didn’t try the food at the hotel. For the money, it’s decent, around a 3.5-star standard.
