The coves along the coast are the best part. There are lovely stretches of beach on both sides, and plenty of places to walk. The grounds are attractively laid out and full of flowers, and staff were very helpful. Both beach areas were generally clean, though one day a huge amount of plastic washed up from the sea. The campsite has recently been taken over by CapFun. Activities were mostly in French or Spanish, with English rarely heard. Our cabin was very basic, with cheap furnishings, some sharp furniture edges, a loose toilet seat, a shower door out of its lower track, and fixtures that looked decades old. It was especially dirty behind the toilet and in the shower, so we went to Action for a few things and cleaned it ourselves. The door stuck and slammed so loudly that it would wake the whole neighborhood, which is why we usually left it open. The walls were so thin that birds on the roof woke us, and we could hear the neighbors talking on their terrace even with all the windows shut. Rain was incredibly loud and woke everyone immediately. The site is mostly small cabins, and the more you pay, the better the cabin and its location. We paid just under €3,000 for two weeks and were right at the top of the hill. The walk up from the beach took a good ten minutes, and carrying beach gear made the steep climb exhausting. It really isn't suitable for people with mobility problems. We thought the hill was still better than at some other campsites, but it takes a long break to recover at the top. The pool looked nicely set up, but there wasn't much to it and it wasn't deep. It was almost always crowded, and we never got a sun lounger during our two weeks. Luckily there was a small grassy patch one level down. The water quality was so-so, and with no pre-pool, we kept stepping on little beach stones. The small round pool was deeper in one part, but very dirty, and its cleaning system wasn't working. The campsite snack bar isn't one I can recommend. The food had little flavor, and a meal with drinks for two adults and two children cost around €50-€60. The restaurant, which used to be good, has closed. Staff sometimes seemed overwhelmed, forgot things, or served the children last. Each cabin has a parking spot. Ours was steep and cramped, and because of the slope you couldn't see from the car. We could only park in reverse, so it's not for anyone who struggles with parking. Other spots may be different, but space is being used to the limit. Tree resin dripped onto the car in little drops, and pine needles got into all the gaps. The setting, beaches, coves, and things to do are wonderful, and the grounds make you feel comfortable. The campsite still has room to improve, but we had a great holiday because we did lots of things. It has some compromises, yet I'd still recommend it, especially since it isn't very old and can improve.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the sanitary facilities were clean. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. You can pick up small essentials at the on-site shop, and I recommend the restaurant.

The place has a lovely feel, with its terraces and attractive landscaping, and some of the sanitary facilities have been renovated. There is at least one shower where the floor slopes away from the drain and toward the middle, so water spills into the neighboring showers. 🐕 During our stay, a dog on the hillside opposite our campsite barked and howled every evening, sometimes until early morning. We couldn't work out exactly where it was, and for various reasons couldn't do anything to help. It may have been on the grounds of the former Camping International. We were shocked that it could be left to cry like that for so long, until its voice was completely hoarse. I know animal welfare laws and attitudes in Spain are outdated in many ways. I didn't want to risk the dog being taken to a shelter or prison, or something worse, and working dogs have almost no protection here, so I didn't contact the authorities. If anyone knows the dog or has a good explanation for what was happening, please get in touch and I'll change these lines.
