The Cook Book Gastro Boutique Hotel & Spa

We’re still here, but I wanted to write down what a lovely stay we’ve had. The hotel is small and cozy, very relaxing, and the staff make you feel special from the moment you arrive. They’re happy to help with anything. It’s in a peaceful spot, with an easy walk to the beaches and town. We enjoyed heading out for a stroll each day and evening. The pool area is wonderful and quiet, with the calm surroundings all around it. The hotel is starting to look a bit tired. I know renovations are due to begin in November, but that didn’t stop us having a fabulous visit. Thanks to the whole team, especially Simona and Sophie.

The grounds are nicely kept, and the service was good. Our room had decent facilities, though the decor feels dated and worn. The hotel itself doesn’t match the on-site restaurants. Breakfast was a letdown, with little choice and not much food. Some things had run out by 9am, and although the staff were pleasant, they stayed in the kitchen instead of talking with guests. The price felt fair overall.

Breakfast was a real highlight for us, fresh, varied, and full of flavor. The room was spotless and well cared for, and there’s a clear attention to detail around The Cookbook Hotel. Its small size gives it a personal, relaxed feel. From arrival, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, and we felt like guests rather than numbers. The ambiance is cozy and tasteful too. A lovely place that brings together comfort and genuine hospitality. We’d be happy to come back!

We planned on two nights and wound up staying seven. The hotel sits in a quiet residential villa area, about a ten minute walk from the beach, and there’s good parking. Annibal and the staff were immaculate, and everyone gave fantastic service. The food at the bib gourmand Komfort and the 1 star, the Beat was outstanding. They also offered a very good wine list at the terrace and at both restaurants. We’re looking forward to another stay.
