Calpe is a delightful town for families, and the villa made a superb base for enjoying it. It was clean overall and is a lovely building, though it could use some care: a little interior decorating, plus minor repairs and paintwork outside. During our stay the pool filters weren't working, so floating debris had to be scooped out or it ended up at the bottom. We also arrived without a welcome or information pack, which left the rental feeling short on personal attention and professionalism from plus holidays. That's why I can't give it more than three stars.

The bedrooms each having their own bathroom was really handy. The furnace would have been big enough for 4-6 people, but felt small when cooking for all 10 of us.

There's plenty of room for a big family, and the pool is great. The location is handy too. Some windows were hard to open, we noticed a damp smell when we arrived, and air conditioning isn't available in every room.
