Villa Tatiana

We went with a group of friends on New Year’s Eve. The house itself is lovely, but the way the rental is managed made the stay really disappointing, and we wouldn’t return unless that company changed. The downstairs rooms smelled so musty and unhealthy. They hadn’t aired the place out or left dehumidifiers, and there were cobwebs and a broken air conditioner as well. Half the dining chairs had loose screws, which made us worry they might give way. The fridge didn’t cool properly and its door wouldn’t close right. For cleaning supplies, all they left was a small sachet of dish soap and one dishwasher tablet. There were so many other issues too.

The checkout time on our last day was 10:00 AM, because apparently everyone likes an early start on vacation. The house also had a fridge that didn’t keep food cold, and a lot of ours spoiled. The pool was packed with sand, some air conditioners didn’t work, and the downstairs shower curtain seemed like a germ trap. Now they want us to pay for a frying pan we supposedly damaged, though the handle is just unscrewed, and for a pool net we never even knew was there. Things like that break with use and cost only €5 anyway. If it were my place, I’d make sure everything was in perfect shape before renting it out.

The place is in a really nice location, but the company running it was awful. They wanted a huge deposit, were rude, and seemed to charge extra for everything. There wasn’t any shower gel, and when the fridge barely cooled, they told us not to turn the temperature down. We won’t rent from them again.

Comfortable, clean villa, good for a rest. The beach is quite far away, though.
