We had a lovely, clean room with a really good-sized balcony, and the shower was genuinely good, which isn't always the case in hotels. The pool bar was lively and reasonably priced. It's only a couple of minutes from the square and a little farther to the strip. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

The staff have been brilliant, and they remember our names and the drinks we like. The pool and bar area is cleaned every morning, and the food is very nice. The rooms look modern and lovely, and the beds are comfortable. I have both a single and a double bed in my room. The location is a bit hilly for getting into town, so I’d suggest hiring a scooter if mobility is an issue. Taxis can also be booked at reception, and there’s a flat beach nearby. The Square has pubs, restaurants, bingo, and evening shows. We had a lovely night there, and Paco for food. We arrived in the early hours, but check-in was quick and pleasant. I’d emailed in advance to request a ground-floor room because of my mobility, and asked to be next to my friend. They paid attention to both requests. The large toilet and shower room is set up for disabled guests, but the toilet roll holder is too far behind to reach easily. It would be better beside the sink. A bench in the shower room would help too. There’s no full-length mirror, vanity area, or plug socket near a mirror, and there aren’t enough sockets in the room. The outside porch lights don’t work. The pool and bar are right in front of the room, which is great, but I have to walk all the way around the hotel to reach them. A gate like the one by the kids’ pool would make it much easier for families and for me. The kitchenette has a toaster, kettle, and basic things, but there’s only a sponge, cloth, and bin bags for cleaning. Washing-up liquid and a sweeping brush or mop would be useful. They provide hair and body wash in the shower. Maid service mostly brings towels and empties the bin, and changes the bed once a week unless needed. They don’t wipe around, and the floors only get cleaned by the entrance, so they get grubby after a few days. Spare pillows would help, as I have to sleep almost sitting up. The dining chairs are peeling, and I wish there were higher sunbeds. There’s an open wardrobe area, but no shelves or drawers for clothes. There are English channels, including ITV, so you can watch Emmerdale, but the volume is low and limited to 45. Wi-Fi is included throughout. A big tree behind the bar blocks the sun view and needs cutting down. The walls are thin enough that I can hear conversations word for word when people speak loudly. Keep the net shut on the door because there’s no handle outside to close the balcony door, and bugs can get in if the curtains are open. For a late flight, bring tea bags and other bits; water is sold at reception. There’s a small minimarket outside the front, but no cigarettes or tobacco. You get a wrist tag to load money onto, as the bar only takes card. The staff are lovely, the rooms are nice, and the pool area looks well cared for, but I’d give it 3 stars.

The rooms are huge, so there’s plenty of space for families, and it’s lovely during the day. The hotel is a little out of the way, but we enjoyed the walk each day. There was no evening entertainment or night-time bar or restaurant, which was disappointing, as everything closed around 6 or 7pm.
