HM Martinique Aparthotel

I’d book here again. Despite some negative reviews I’d read beforehand, I had a really positive stay and didn’t find the hotel too noisy. The vibe was good, and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful all the way through, and food was much better than I expected. There was always something I could eat, especially at breakfast, which was spot on. HM Martinique Magaluf is right in the heart of everything, so the location was ideal.

Our rep Max helped us book all the good stuff, including Mansion, Lennon’s and Gringo’s Bingo, and made sure we got the most out of our week. The hotel staff were amazing and so helpful. We had the most amazing time and would do it all over again.

Sorry I can’t give it 5 stars, but for the prices we paid it was worth 4.5⭐️. We came on an easyJet package, and it was the last drop-off hotel in this area. We arrived at 14:50pm. Reception suggested we go to lunch first and come back to check in, since the restaurant closed at 15:00pm. That was nice service, and the front desk is open 24 hours. The room was okay, though late-returning guests made some noise. There was no entertainment. Room service felt a bit low-class: the floor wasn’t clean and the bed was just tidied. Towels were missed. With all-inclusive drinks, the basic spirits were available, but cocktails came from a coffee-machine-style mixer. The glass was flat, and cocktails served to guests paying extra were more standard. There was only one beer option. Coffee from different machines tasted different. Breakfast was spot on, top class. Lunch was fine. Dinner had limited variety, though it was freshly cooked. The dining area and serving staff were very good. There’s a big outdoor pool, plus an indoor pool with spa and steam room, which were nice and relaxing. The location is a few minutes’ walk from the bus stop, beach and shopping area, with a playground next door. On checkout day, there was a large luggage room with lockers to use yourself. We could still enjoy all-inclusive activities after checkout until pickup time. Overall, it felt good.

My daughter was limping in the evenings because of an injury from damaged decking, and the hotel never followed up or treated our concern seriously. She could manage barefoot and in the water during the day, but walking in shoes hurt, so we couldn't go far from the hotel. I only made a complaint after nobody seemed to care that she was hurt. I first asked reception for an accident book and was handed a complaint form instead. I went back on two consecutive days, but was told there was no manager available. The first aid kit had plasters and eyewash, but no dressings or padding. I took the photos on day three, by which time the injury was starting to heal. It was the lack of care afterward that upset me most. To clarify the reply from guest relations, we visited at the end of October. The injury wasn't from a hot surface, with temperatures around 19-23 degrees at most. The decking was in disrepair, with raised screws and peeling, rough paint or stain. The all-inclusive deal through easyJet holidays cost about £200 per night for the two of us, including flights. I wasn't expecting too much, and generally thought it was decent value, though the offering lacked variety and it wasn't clear what was included. I booked it so my daughter could have some freedom to get snacks, but snack times were very limited and food could only be eaten in the restaurant, even though food from elsewhere could be eaten in other public areas. The attitude toward children also felt indifferent. They called her swimming rings “floaties” and asked us to take them off, but we kept them because they were being used as swimming aids. She also lost two teddy bears, and nobody seemed very interested in looking or able to help with lost property.
