We had a lovely stay, with breathtaking views and excellent hospitality. The Star Prestige area was a nice extra, with a great atmosphere and views, though the bar drinks could use a little improvement in flavor. Half board is well worth considering. The food was very good and reasonably priced when booked online with the room, and the dinner theme changes each night, which keeps it interesting.

The incredible views were one of the highlights, and direct access to the sea made it easy to swim in the clear water. We also liked the live music at the bar in the evenings. The jacuzzis are very close together, so there isn't much privacy, though the views make up for it. Staff come onto the balcony area in the morning to clean the jacuzzis, so close the blinds if you're getting changed. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks when we arrived, and reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout. When we had a small electricity problem in our room, the team fixed it quickly. Room service isn't available after 10:00 PM, but reception kindly helped us find a way to get something to eat. It was an amazing stay, and we'd happily return.

The hotel could use a little investment from IHG. Our room was clean but tired, with weak air conditioning and a yellowed whirlpool bath. The shower jets sprayed the walls and ceiling instead of the person showering, and I kept stepping on the toilet doorstop while washing my hands or brushing my teeth, so I ended up wearing shoes in the room. One of the poolside shower areas didn't work, and the lifts were a bit of a nightmare at busy times. Small gripes, but things could do with an update. We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were exceptional. Montse and Alejandro in the restaurant and Ian from entertainment always stopped for a chat, even when we weren't joining the activities. Thanks as well to the chefs, cleaners and the less visible staff who help keep the place clean and welcoming. We also appreciated the designated smoking area, so smoke or vaping didn't spoil the sun loungers for non-smokers.

We've stayed here as a family for many years and keep coming back because the location is amazing, near bars and restaurants with direct sea access. We've tried several room types and liked them all, especially the swim-up room. In colder months, upgrading to Star Prestige is worth it for the two extra pools and jacuzzis, including one heated pool. The staff are incredible and so welcoming when we return. Ana, Luci, Neide and Katarina recognized us straight away and couldn't do enough to help.
