Pirates Village

The entertainment team were a real highlight, especially with how well they got the younger kids involved. They're so bubbly and great at dancing, and the Disney show on a Friday was the best one by far. Beverly was lovely and welcoming, and the Cleaner with the bun who works nights was always smiling and very nice. The food choices were limited, but what was there tasted lovely, and the location is great, just a 5 minute walk from the beach. The rooms were more run down than we'd hoped, though we didn't spend much time in them. We arrived last Tuesday and leave tomorrow. I really enjoyed the stay, but was disappointed by the state of the rooms. I'd highly recommend it for younger kids who like getting involved in activities.

The location was handy, the pools were a good size, and my kids loved the slides. We also enjoyed the large balcony and the strawberry daiquiri. We were self catering, so I can't comment on the buffet, but the snack bar food was so oily we threw it away. The rooms were basic, which was fine, but the floors weren't cleaned once during our 10 nights at pirates village. The beds and towels were changed, and we ended up buying a mop and cleaning ourselves. Having to set alarms to claim a sun lounger was not for me. Some people were down by 6.30am, and the rule about towels being removed was never enforced. The evening entertainment was mostly dancing around, and my kids didn't enjoy it. We were there with friends, four adults and three kids aged 2-5-9, and it didn't really suit any of us. I don't think we got what we paid for. We spent a lot of money and were out day and night once we found things we didn't like, but still had a great holiday. I wouldn't return because this place just wasn't for us.

The location suited us perfectly, with a short walk to the centre and the beach. Since we were self catering, having the Eroski supermarket just a couple of minutes away was a big help. The staff were so friendly and the entertainment was amazing. Our son had an amazing time during our 11 nights here. The rooms were basic, as expected, and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable.

The shows kept my 8 month old and 3 year old entertained, and the food was really tasty, 9/10. We went all inclusive and it was SO worth it with a toddler who kept changing his mind about food. For our first family holiday, the hotel was a brilliant choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt relaxed and easy with kids. I'll admit I'm usually a bit of a “holiday snob” and compare places to Dubai standards, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Of course it was a different experience from a luxury Dubai resort, but the warm atmosphere was just right for our first family trip. There was a mix of people, which we expected, and some days that added to the entertainment, including a couple arguing in the next room in the early hours. It exceeded my expectations, and I'd happily recommend it for a semi relaxed family holiday. 5 stars from a fussy high standard holiday snob x
