Casa Rural COMPLEX MASIA DEL TREMENDO y Agroturismo

We spent a week here with a group of friends, and it was a privilege to meet Fermín, Elisabet, and Francesc and hear the story of Tremendo, which they were kind enough to share with us. We felt welcomed like family in a stunning setting, with an enviable garden and a pool we never wanted to leave. Camarles is peaceful and well placed, with everything close by by car, so it’s easy to enjoy the Delta’s natural heritage, customs, and food. Of course there are mosquitoes, humidity, and heat. Anyone expecting a boutique-style hotel instead of a real rural agrotourism house won’t find that here, and should go to Cerdanya and prepare their wallet. Here you’ll find people, stories, and love for the land. Thanks for making us feel so good. We’ll always have the Delta.

We really enjoyed our two weeks here in July and would love to come back. Francesc and Elisabeth were always friendly, personal, and helpful. When my car broke down the day before we were due home, Francesc contacted a repair shop he knew in Camarles, and they fixed it within a few hours, even during peak hours, so we got home without trouble. There were 16 of us split across the three accommodations. Our apartment had air conditioning, while the other two had ceiling and separate fans. The air-conditioned one was the most comfortable, but the others stayed cool enough. The pool was fantastic, and the gardens were idyllic and beautifully kept. The long table beside the pool was perfect for family gatherings. The location is unbeatable, near the Ebro Delta Natural Park and lovely uncrowded beaches in L'Ampolla, L'Ametlla de Mar, and other nearby towns. There weren’t swarms of mosquitoes, just the usual amount. It seems the authorities’ control measures have been effective.

Seven of us spent four days here and made the most of the whole place, from the barbecues and outdoor dining areas to the amazing pool and garden, which were lovely both day and night. Joan and Elisabeth looked after everyone and everything so well that we felt at home. There are coves and beaches nearby, so we could enjoy the area too. Don’t hesitate to try 'La Masia del Tremendo', the best in the entire Ebro Delta! We’ll be back! 🫂

We came to Masia del Tremendo hoping to rest and breathe some fresh air, but the room felt like a hot oven, and the advertised air conditioning never showed up. The pool was lovely, but it was shared with ten other people, so there was no privacy. Everything was communal, and the garden felt like a war zone, not a peaceful, safe place. The owner was always watching and would come in and shout. We paid for the dog but got no receipt or invoice, and he insisted even more sternly. We left before our stay was over because we’d rather get away than spend another day there. There were so many mosquitoes. We won’t return or recommend it. For all its rural appearance, it wasn’t what they promised.
