We loved having breakfast with that unbeatable view, and Casa Maru was a wonderful place to return to after exploring the area. The house is gorgeous and beautifully situated. Jhousy was a great host, helping us choose walks and making a lovely breakfast to set us up for the day. We already want to go back!

Casa Maru was the highlight of our trip when my husband and I stayed there in late May. It’s in a perfect spot for heading out on adventures, or just switching off and relaxing in nature. Jhousy is incredibly kind and helpful, and her hospitality is off the charts. The breakfasts are absolute perfection, and make sure to have at least one dinner there too.

Jhousy is what makes Casa Maru so special. She’s welcoming, kind, and interesting, and her breakfasts were a highlight of our time in northern Spain, with several delicious plates made from fresh ingredients. The location is hard to beat too, close to several great hiking trails, with perfect views of the Picos de Europa when the clouds clear. We thought Casa Maru was exceptional.

We loved the bedroom view, and the place itself is absolutely gorgeous, close to a few major trails. Getting there can be tricky because the road is narrow and may be slippery when it rains. The kitchen was stocked with basics like cereal, milk, oats, coffee, and tea, and they replenished the water every day.

Jhousy made our honeymoon at Casa Maru unforgettable. She was an amazing hostess, helped us plan hikes around the Picos, and made the most amazing breakfasts every morning. The room had all the amenities we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. We’ll definitely come back!
