O Castro Apartamentos

We wouldn't come back. The bathroom was so cramped you could barely sit on the toilet, and there were spiders on the ceiling. The terrace lawn needed cutting, the door wouldn't shut so we had to lower the blind, and the bed was uncomfortable. The TV was tiny too. It didn't look the way we expected.

We had a lovely time with the pool and the traditional Galician taverns, or furanchos, which were quite good. Taberna a Ruda was especially enjoyable. We'd booked a cocktail party there in advance, and liked the views and atmosphere as much as the place itself. Beautiful setting and a very nice host family. We hope to come back and explore it more thoroughly.

Such kind, polite people. It's practically surrounded by nature, just the kind of place to relax.

The setting and location are beautiful, which makes the lack of care all the more disappointing. We won't return or recommend it. The shared areas looked neglected too, with cobwebs and a general sense that nothing was being maintained. The apartment was filthy: sand and hair on the floor, dust on the lamps, switches, and pretty much every surface. We raised it with the manager in case it was a mistake. There was no apology or initiative; we had to keep insisting someone check, and the only thing they did was clean the floor. Maintenance was practically nonexistent. The bed creaked every time we moved, which was disgraceful in accommodation. Several lights were missing or didn't work. There's a lot of neglect here, very little cleaning, and hardly any upkeep. It's not what it seems.
