Apartamentos Port Cambrils

Good value for money. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, though our room wasn’t very big.

There’s a lovely pool upstairs with plenty of sunbeds, though the shade is lacking. There were only two old umbrellas and one was broken, which was a letdown for someone like me who likes to sit in the shade. The safe also costs an extra €3 per day, plus a refundable €10 key deposit that you can only pay in cash. In 2024, requiring cash for that was odd, and it could mean an expensive ATM visit for UK guests without euros. Those extra charges and the lack of umbrellas brought it down to four stars for me, even though I really liked the hotel. It’s right in central Cambrils, close to the harbour, beach, restaurants and other amenities. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was superb. It was so comfortable inside compared with the heat outside that I nearly didn’t want to leave.

The location is perfect, in a safe area with a good atmosphere and just a five minute walk to a beautiful, quiet beach. Every day, the staff cleaned our room very well, and everyone was polite and helpful. There’s a rooftop pool and tanning beds, plus a good breakfast buffet and a 4-star dinner buffet. I’d strongly recommend staying here.

The staff at Port Eugeni were great when I needed a better setup for work. My first room was decent, but it didn’t have a desk for meetings and online work. They quickly found me a much more comfortable room with a great desk and a spotless bathroom. I really appreciated how helpful and quick they were. It meant I could work in the air-conditioned room instead of on a sweltering terrace in July.
