Càmping Molí Serradell

The river was about the only sound at this quiet campsite, apart from the bells when goats and sheep wandered by. There was even a calf roaming around and keeping the grass short. The owners were so helpful: with the restaurant closed when I arrived, they still arranged a great meal for me. The price felt low for the location, and the toilets and showers were spotless. Washing machines are available too. I've travelled extensively around Europe, and this little campsite in the Pyrenees has made it onto the top of my favourites list.

The restaurant food was fantastic, and there were plenty of things for kids to do at the campsite and nearby during the day. It's a cosy, family-friendly place, and the owners make you feel welcome.

The campsite has lots for families, from the pool and little river to walking tracks, farm animals, and games and toys for kids. The bar and restaurant are reasonably priced too. It feels like a real family business: the four sisters and their cousin do a great job, and they're attentive, friendly, and speak excellent English as well as Spanish and Catalan. I spent two nights here and was happy with everything. I'd gladly come back.

We stayed for two days. The pool is big, the food was nice, and the staff were great. It was a relaxing place, but not suitable for digital nomads: internet only worked in the restaurant, and I couldn't get phone signal despite trying four contracts. Also be careful with personal belongings, since something left outside your plot could be stolen.
