Apartamentos Rurales El Lleron

San Damian is a lovely spot for getting away from it all. You can hear the water and wildlife around the welcoming village, and pick up Asturian food like cachopo, chorizo, and local honey at the butcher's. We went with young kids, and there are things to do for all ages, with more information at the visitor center. Dogs are welcome too. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, from kitchenware and bedding to toiletries. There's a TV in the living room, though we never felt a need to turn it on. Electric heating and a fireplace, with firewood provided, made the evenings especially nice. The rooms each have a wardrobe, desk, and full bathroom, one with a tub and the other a shower. There's also a fairly roomy shared toilet. The views of the mountains and green countryside are hard to beat, and guests have their own private parking area in addition to village parking. A peaceful place to reconnect with nature and recharge. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, and we'd absolutely recommend it.

The views and access to different activities made the location ideal for us. We stayed at "San Damián" over Easter with four adults, two children, and our pets. The house was comfortable, with lots of thoughtful details, and had access for both pedestrians and vehicles. We'd definitely come back.

The main road outside the San Roque is surprisingly quiet, with only about three cars going by a day, and the location puts you close to everything. Staff were very friendly. We stayed for a week, and the living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms were all comfortable. It has the appliances you'd need, though the coffee maker should be replaced. The kitchen is tiny, and the apartment doesn't have its own garden, since those areas are shared with the other apartments. There was no Wi-Fi, and even in the terrible heat they couldn't get us a fan. We also couldn't find basic instructions for the washer and dryer. Cleanliness could use more attention, especially in the common areas, under the beds, and on the windows.

Falling asleep to the river was such a treat, and it's a lovely choice if you want to spend time in nature. The service was fantastic too, the woman there was so kind and friendly. Dogs will feel right at home.
