Abba Sants Hotel

We showed up at about 11 PM without a reservation and were treated with real respect. The staff explained everything clearly and politely. We opted for breakfast, which I found varied and high quality. The room was very clean, with coffee capsules and tea by the coffee machine. The bathroom towels were fresh, the room smelled pleasant, and the ventilation worked well. Everything was excellent. There are drinks in the minibar, but you have to pay if you use them.

Breakfast was fantastic, with a huge range of food, and the freshly squeezed morning juice was a treat. I’m from Bulgaria, where you can usually get it almost anywhere, so it was nice to have that option here. The hotel was clean throughout, from the lobby and restaurant to the halls, and the reception staff were helpful, friendly, and easy to communicate with. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though some haven’t had a modern refresh. The bathroom was a favorite, everything worked, which is a relief after too many hotel bathrooms where something is always broken. The metro station is right by the entrance. Lovely hotel, and I’d definitely recommend it! 🙌

The room was great and the location ideal. My issue is that Booking.com said the tax was included, but the hotel charged me city tax at check-in. My other bookings had clearly said I needed to pay at check-in, but this one didn’t. Booking.com doesn’t give me an option to leave a review, so I’m posting my comment here.

It’s somewhere to sleep with air conditioning, and the hygiene is acceptable, but that’s about the best I can say. The beds are on wheels and slide around, and the mattresses are hard. There’s one outlet for the room phone and one for the coffee machine, so charging a phone means unplugging the machine. There’s no outlet near the bed. Cooking smells reach the top floor, and you can hear the neighbors next door well enough to follow their conversation. The two elevators are old and serve all eight floors. Staff can be nice, housekeeping is available, and there’s an underground train station nearby. Everything else is a downside. Yours truly.
