Flequi, the hotel dog, came along as our guide and companion on the hikes, which was a lovely bonus. We stayed for a couple of days and would definitely come back. It's such a peaceful place, with outstanding service and excellent cleanliness. The room smelled fresh as soon as we walked in. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and they made whatever we wanted on the spot, including scrambled eggs, fried eggs, and omelets. A great fit whether you're after a relaxing break or an active holiday.

The rooms at Reciegos were spotless and still smelled wonderful when we came back to them. The breakfasts set you up perfectly for a day in the mountains, and Marigel, who runs the place, brings real professionalism and excellent service. Her care made our stay a pleasure. We especially want to thank Marigel for rescuing our dinner after a local restaurant turned us away at 9 pm, despite other people already eating there, and gave us no alternative. She was far more helpful, both personally and professionally, than the locals who leave visitors with no options. We'll recommend Reciegos to friends and family as a dependable place to enjoy Redes Natural Park and recharge.

Finding the entrance can be a bit confusing. I'd suggest following the blue sign before you reach the village instead of Google Maps. The upstairs rooms got quite hot, but we really appreciated how thoughtful they were. On our second night, they changed the bedspreads and switched on the air conditioning before we got back, which made things much more comfortable. You could tell they cared.
