I was cycling and they let me leave my bike in the lobby, which was helpful. There’s an individual parking garage below each room, an unusual but convenient setup. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and check in staff were friendly. It’s near the Camino Francés route and has a sitting area and free wifi. There’s no restaurant, and for me the town was too far to reach on foot or by bike for food.

The rooms were discreet, clean, and nicely equipped, with parking right in the room. We were on the outskirts of Ponferrada, near a pleasant, very quiet area, and the hotel entrance is off the highway. It’s on the Camino de Santiago, so lots of pilgrims come through. During our stay we visited the Templar Castle, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and its surroundings, Astorga, and the villages of El Bierzo. We made the most of it.

We were comfortable and had plenty of privacy, and I’d recommend it. The room was spacious and warm, which was welcome in winter, with a TV and a bathroom next door. There’s a private garage for the car, and it’s pet-friendly. Our dog was comfortable too, sleeping on the floor in the bed we brought. A nearby gas station made it easy to get going and continue our trip. The breakfast I ordered was simple, complete, and very good.
