A beach with white sand.

There's a beach bar right on the sand for drinks, and you can get here easily on foot. The beach itself is a wide stretch of fine white sand, with water that turns crystal clear in the sunlight.

The beach really is as lovely as it looks, and I think it's worth the trip. Just be ready for heavy crowds, traffic jams at times, and a 7 euro parking fee.

The water is incredible, almost Caribbean, and the sunsets and lively beach bars add to the appeal. Getting back to the car can mean a long walk, though, and parking is a major headache. The sandy bay stretches a long way but has rocky interruptions, and it often gets very crowded. Still worth the effort.
