A natural beach, perfect for staying calm and relaxing.

We'd wanted peace and quiet for our baby granddaughter, and certainly got that. Our villa was between two inhabited areas, each about a mile away, so it felt like a ghost town with nobody else around. It was a little spooky. Things picked up at the weekend when a man came by walking his dog.
It feels like stepping back to what Mallorca's small towns may have looked like 50 years ago. Along the road running beside the sea, there are rows of two-storey homes belonging to locals, with covered terraces facing the water. There aren't many restaurants or shops, and the place stays very quiet. Some restaurants are quite good, but there's no rowdy tourist scene, beer-swilling crowds, bowling clubs, or roaming stag parties. Very nice.
Being near the beach is a real plus, though Sa Rapita itself isn't very attractive. The new development probably won't make it any better. It also feels completely overrated, with houses built right beside each other. Even the smallest one costs over €450,000, far too much.
How could anyone forget Sa Rápita, with its beautiful beach in Mallorca?
