Finca Es Torrent

Breakfast was a highlight: plentiful, with different prepared breads and tostadas each day. The property looks somewhat old but is reasonably equipped. The pool isn’t heated, and I found it too cold in October. Our room, though, was a poor fit for the price. I can’t speak for the other rooms, but ours felt quickly put together. The walls were unfinished in a bad way, with holes, and you could see the roof, which also looked makeshift. We had just one nightstand, no bin, and no hanger to signal that we didn’t want room service. They came to make the bed, apparently, and threw away bottles I’d kept by the mini fridge. The used cups, glass, and tea weren’t replaced either. There was a kettle but no socket nearby, so it had to sit on the floor beside the bed. On the day we left, rain came through the closed window and poured into the room. Another night in that damp room would have been unpleasant. For us, it simply wasn’t worth what we paid.

The setting is remote, so having a car is a good idea. Ses Salines is about a ten minute drive away, and we ate there most evenings. It’s a small town, but we tried six lovely restaurants, with Bodega Baharona our favorite. My husband and I spent a wonderful week here. The property is gorgeous, and our room was beautiful. I loved waking up to birdsong each morning, and this first finca stay definitely won’t be our last. Coloma was such a welcoming hostess. She helped my husband practice Spanish over breakfast and made sure I could eat everything while pregnant, which I really appreciated.

Breakfast was exceptionally well prepared and served. Our cozy, distinctive double room had a big balcony framed by palm trees. A lovely stay in a very welcoming boutique hotel with an appealing agri-tourism feel.

We had such a great time at the finca. It’s lovely, and the shaded parking right in front was handy. The pool stayed clean and the water was just the right temperature. Breakfast came to the table, which made mornings feel relaxed. Our room was clean and had air conditioning, a real plus in Mallorca’s heat. The location also worked perfectly for getting to beautiful beaches.
