The staff are lovely, always friendly and smiling, and the spa is in very good shape, with a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, hot tub and massages. Breakfast has a good range of usual morning choices and is worth having. Dinner was disappointing, so I’d skip it and eat out or cook in the room. If you stay, I’d book breakfast only. I’ve stayed here a couple of times before and have noticed the facilities getting worse. The kitchenette is handy for simple meals and has a good-sized mini-fridge, though you’ll need paper coffee filters. Many rooms look over the pool, which is pleasant. The shower has no screen, so water gets across the bathroom and sometimes beyond it; towels are needed to contain it. The bathroom walls also looked moldy or unclean, and the air conditioning could be better. The hall walls clearly haven’t been painted in ages, though other shared areas are kept up. Wi-Fi is very poor, and it doesn’t seem likely to improve. If those things don’t bother you, the hotel should be satisfactory.

Luis, the new entertainer, was the best part of the activities for us. He was lively and friendly, and made things fun and welcoming. Michael came off as arrogant and over the top, and some of the entertainment felt forced. Luis handled it much better. The hotel is in a perfect spot, close to what you need and convenient for exploring. The food was a letdown, though, with too little variety and flavor. The location is great, but the food and some of the entertainment could be better.

The location is excellent and the staff were okay, but I wouldn’t book again. The double rooms are in very poor shape and badly need modernising. The shower lets water spill into the bathroom, the TV is tiny, and both the air conditioning and internet are poor.

The rooms are where this place falls short. Our suite was airy and spacious, as if two rooms had been combined, but it felt tired and needs refurbishing. It also lacked basics some UK guests may expect, such as a kettle, which you can hire. The food was mixed. Breakfast was decent, and the salads and desserts at dinner were good, but the cooked meats were poor and the choices limited. Honestly, dinner was disappointing. Staff are very friendly, and the kids’ club is good. Most guests are German, and the hotel seems to cater mainly to them. First impressions are much better: there are three pool areas, including one for toddlers, a kids’ club, an on-site shop and snack bar, a bright reception, a large bar and an outdoor entertainment area. There’s also a path to the beach, about 50 metres away. The hotel could be much more with investment, and it’s definitely not four-star.

The building feels outdated, and there’s very little room space. The tiny mini-fridge was broken when we arrived. I’m unimpressed so far. The room advertised as a “double room sea view” somehow turned out to be the same as a “double sea view.” That was a surprise when I checked my family in. Reception offered no help, and I actually feel they pulled a fast one on me because I’m a foreigner.
