Rural Rio Escabas

This is about the restaurant. The atmosphere was cosy, the food tasty and the staff kind. The chairs could use an update.

Yolanda runs the place and is very kind and friendly; Jesus helps out in the restaurant. It's a handy hotel for the Wicker Route and the Roman villa of Noheda, as well as trips to Beteta. The restaurant was perfect, and I'd definitely return. The rooms are spacious and have heating, a toilet with a bidet and a hairdryer. You don't need much more.

We ate at the restaurant on a winter weekday. It wasn't very busy, which was understandable, and when I asked, they said we could eat there. There were three starters and three main courses to choose from. The food was good, both in quantity and flavor, and the waiter was friendly and helpful. It's a pleasant place to eat, though I hadn't asked the set-menu price and was charged €20. For the location and a non-holiday, that felt expensive. There are practically no other options nearby, though, and even so, it wasn't bad.

It's a small, unassuming hotel in Cañamares, but the service and quality are impressive. We stayed this past weekend and had a thoroughly satisfying experience. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both very good, and the rooms had heating and some of the most comfortable beds in the area. The price was very competitive. It doesn't disappoint.
