The location is excellent, and the house is simple but has the basics. A few more kitchen items would have helped. For what it costs, though, I can't complain.

After an hour and 40 minutes here, this already feels like a nightmare. The smell of a burning fireplace hit us as soon as we entered, and it's soaked into the curtains and cushions too. The kitchen is incredibly dirty, as the photos show. Upstairs, the bedrooms smell like human blood, and each room has its own unpleasant surprise. The sheets are dirty, the yellow pillows all smell different, and there are bits of skin and nails on the duvets. Even the towels laid over them are very worn. The bathrooms are only half-clean, with hair on the walls and in the bathtub, and barely any toilet paper. I called five minutes after we arrived and I'm still waiting for a solution. So frustrating. Otherwise I'd leave. I'd rather have my money back.

We love Casa Sol and the town, which is quiet and has lovely hiking trails. We've been coming regularly for two years for our anniversary, and this was our first problem. When we booked, we were promised firewood, which is why we chose this place, but that didn't happen. The owner was meant to call, but never did, not even to apologize. Everything else was great, so I'm not giving five stars this time. Just be sure to dress warmly in winter, because it gets very cold here.
