El Paso De Las Ciguenas

What we liked most was the sense of freedom, the quiet, the barbecues, and being able to watch the stars. We went in September with our dog and loved it, though the cabin felt a bit cramped for a couple. The large plot is separate from the neighbors, so it feels like a rural retreat. There are shared areas including a pool, barbecue area, and treehouse, and it's right by the Sierra de Gredos. The place is a little out of the way: follow the stork signs and then take a dirt track. Pets are allowed except in the fairly large pool area. One thing I wasn't sure about was letting the owner's dog run loose, since it gets restless around food. There are Asian hornets, much bigger than the common ones. One got into our cabin and we had a terrible time until we killed it, so I'd put insecticide spray in the houses. The cabins have access ramps and the bathroom has a sliding door, but I'm not sure a wheelchair would fit. I'd definitely return.

I stayed in the little house with the oak trees, and it was so pretty. If you want peace, quiet, and nature, this is the place. Mr. Angel was very kind, and Bombón is the star, hahaha, such a sweet and affectionate dog. I'll definitely return in summer. Thank you so much, Patricia and Angel, for making us feel so welcome 💗.

The area is beautiful, with all kinds of hiking trails nearby, and the cabins are comfortable and have everything you need. We spent a few days in the oak cabin with our Golden Retriever, Olmo, and really enjoyed the quiet and natural surroundings. Bombón, the farm's dog, is a fantastic animal. We met the owner, who was friendly, offered help with anything we needed, and respected our privacy. It was a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back! 🥰

We spent 3 days here and it was super nice, a chance to connect with nature. The cabins are really good, but the animals are definitely the best part.
