We only came in to eat and have a drink, so I can’t comment on the hotel. The staff were always smiling and very polite, and took time to explain local food and the differences between Spanish and Catalan. My local-language skills are very basic, so I really appreciated being able to communicate in English, even though it isn’t my first language.

We’re heading somewhere else to get a proper meal. The food tasted average and the portions were small: my girlfriend paid 12 euros for two cannelloni, while my 19-euro gazpacho came with just two sardines cut in half.

The staff seemed friendly, and with a bit more organization this place could do well. But we had to ask four different staff members for menus, our extra beers kept getting forgotten, and the food arrived quite cold. The first impression was really good compared with other places on this town’s main street. I’m judging from ten years living in BCN and eating out on weekends in coastal towns and similar places.

I’m giving two stars for the location; the rest would get zero. Calling this a hotel feels wrong. It’s a restaurant with very small rooms, no air conditioning, and no fresh air. There was only a bed and wardrobe, no chair or table, and the small window faced a wall. The bathroom had no window, and the restaurant smells were awful.
