Hotel Restaurante Marroncín

Fermín and Charo, the owners, were so kind and helpful. We had a great time talking with them even with the language barrier. The hotel is cozy, set in a lovely spot with a great view, and we loved the service.

We chose the hotel for a ski trip to Leitariegos, about 30 minutes away, and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. We hadn't known anything about the place beforehand, but it went well beyond what we expected for the price and its one-star rating. Everything was clean, the food was very good, and the service was exceptionally friendly. We'd definitely stay again if we're back in the area.

We came for the Prestosu Festival and stayed for three days. The homemade breakfast and delicious home-cooked meals were a real treat, and it had been a long time since we'd eaten so well. Everyone made us feel welcome throughout our stay. At night, we could fall asleep to the river flowing below the windows, which felt like a real privilege. We hope to come back soon and see places like this keep thriving.

Fermín was a very friendly host, and breakfast was excellent: toast with butter and jam, a slice of cake, and coffee with milk. Our room was adequate, but after we told him the bathroom sink wasn't draining properly, nobody checked it. We were there for three days and didn't eat at the hotel. On our first evening, Fermín said they had a large table and were overwhelmed, so we drove five minutes to Hotel La Casilla for dinner each night instead. We were using an electric car and needed to charge it because we were driving around the area a lot. There were no EV charging stations, just a regular electrical outlet, and Fermín said he hadn't been aware of the issue. We charged at Hotel La Casilla while having dinner, and they didn't charge us anything. Rural hotels really need EV chargers as more of us travel by electric car, or at least should let guests pay to charge overnight from an accessible socket. These days, that's a convenience and part of good customer service.
