Casa Iris

Marian and Alfonso were attentive, kind hosts, which made our stay a real pleasure. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s in a peaceful, beautiful setting close to Cangas de Onís. We spent a lovely few days and came away with great memories of the villages, mountains, and rivers.

There’s a barbecue and wooden table behind the house, and parking is easy. The hosts were friendly and attentive, and we’d definitely come back. The country house has two floors, with a dining room, kitchen, and bathroom downstairs, then two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs. Its setting is hard to beat, with peaceful surroundings and views of the Picos de Europa. Cangas de Onís and the Lakes of Covadonga are close by.

The only real drawbacks were the weak shower pressure and limited water flow, which made showering uncomfortable, especially in winter. The heating also couldn’t be set above 20 degrees Celsius, so on cold days the temperature was just adequate. Still, the surroundings are fantastic and the house is very well equipped with everything you might need. The owner and his mother are both lovely and always available to help. I really enjoyed my stay and would book again if I’m back in the area.

The hosts were attentive and easy to communicate with, and we’ll return. The house is cozy, with convenient parking. It’s only a few minutes by car from the Lakes of Covadonga and Cangas de Onís, and the location is unbeatable, with views of the Picos de Europa.
