Casa Rural La Faya

Casa La Faya sits on a lush 2,500 m² hillside in San Juan de Parres, overlooking the Sella River valley as it passes through Cangas de Onís. From the property, there are striking views of the Picos de Europa. The setting offers the calm of an Asturian village, the smell of freshly cut grass, cows lowing, and fog spreading over Cangas before lifting in wisps caught in the branches. The house is on the outskirts of town, about 1 kilometer from Cangas de Onís, with paved-road access, and close to both the beach and mountains. It has been carefully designed and decorated to fit its surroundings and offers all the comforts you could need for a memorable holiday. This is surely one of the finest houses in Asturias, in a landscape that’s hard to beat. Come once and you’ll want to return.

The garden would have been even better for the children if it hadn’t rained during our stay. We were there over the May bank holiday weekend with friends and our kids, and the house was wonderful, well kept, and equipped with everything we needed. It felt like home, and the heating was already on when we arrived, so it was lovely and warm. The area is very quiet and we slept soundly. It looked just like the photos, maybe even better. Highly recommended.

The doll room was the funniest part, hahaha! The house felt like a mansion, and there’s a bar and restaurant just steps away where the food is fantastic. A really nice place.

Getting there takes a little effort, but it’s absolutely worth it.
