Breakfast had been arranged with the owner, but it never happened. There was no TV or air conditioning in the room, making for long, hot nights without entertainment, and parking was awful, so coming and going by car was quite an unpleasant adventure. The dog wandered through the hallway and added to the feeling of being watched all the time. The owner seemed to monitor our every move, and even rearranged our luggage without permission. The supposed "family" atmosphere felt more like distrust and unfriendliness, with very little privacy or warmth. If you want a watched, uncomfortable, minimalist holiday, this could be the place. The place felt welcoming and was cleaner and tidier than we'd expected. It's a lovely setting for some peace and quiet, but still close to points of interest that add to the visit.

The house itself is nice and in a quiet area, though the rooms are small. The hostess came across as haughty, as if she were doing us a favor by letting us stay in "her house" even though we were paying. I wouldn't recommend it.

The house is beautiful, with an eclectic bohemian-chic look, and the owner did make an effort to reserve nearby restaurants and offer recommendations. But her strict rules made us feel like visitors instead of paying guests. Food wasn't allowed anywhere on the property, and the kitchen was off limits. We also had to use the designated route every time we came and went. When we tried to get to the garden through the dining room, she scolded us. Maybe this was because she lived upstairs and was around all day. The rooms were much smaller than they looked in the photos, and this only seems suitable for a short stay. There was no breakfast service. We'd already discussed it with the owner and thought it was settled, but on arrival she said it couldn't be provided because her assistant had had an accident. Other reviews suggest it's been this way for years. The owner should at least reconsider offering coffee or tea in the morning.
