Cal Roure Boutique Hotel

Right in Igualada’s historic centre, this small hotel sits on Plaça de l’Ajuntament, opposite City Hall. There’s an elevator and an electric wheelchair lift. The closest parking is at Plaça de la Creu Igualada, about two blocks away. You’re surrounded by old cobbled pedestrian streets, with cafes, places to eat and little shops just outside. Ramblas de San Isidro is nearby too, a nice spot to sit and people-watch over a latte, ice cream, a frappe or our favourite, horchata made from tiger nuts. People are friendly when you approach them and will try to help. Catalan is spoken in this part of Spain, though most people also speak Spanish and some speak English. Have a great time in Igualada!

The staff were so friendly, and the bathroom was spotless with a fantastic shower. The rooms were spacious and finished to a high standard. A stunning boutique hotel, one of the best places I’ve stayed. I’d happily recommend it and will definitely come back.

The service made this stay for me. The manager clearly loves the hotel and puts a lot into making guests’ visits as good as possible. There are only a handful of rooms, right on the main square, and they’re beautifully appointed and peaceful even with good food and drink right outside. Upstairs, guests have a bar and a rooftop deck where you can catch sunrise or sunset. It’s an absolute must-stay.

Five stars. The hotel is beautiful, and the warm, friendly staff were the icing on the cake. Lovely part of Catalonia.
