I couldn't bring my bicycle on the ferry to the nearby island of Cies, so the staff helped arrange storage for it. They were incredibly helpful and highly professional.

The hotel was okay, and the rooms felt completely average. Breakfast had very limited options and could use improvement. I was also put off by the parking listing: it turned out to refer to paid parking 150m from the hotel. That could mislead people, so the information should be removed from the Booking page.

The city is nice and cozy, which made it a pity that I had such a terrible night's sleep. With the windows open, street noise kept me awake until around 01:00 AM. I woke around 08:00 when the city noise started again and had to close them. It was too hot with the air conditioning off, but shutting the windows let in too much noise. I asked reception why the air conditioner wasn't working and got evasive answers. First I was told it was off because of COVID restrictions, though this was August 2022. I'd stayed in hundreds of hotels since Spain's restrictions ended and had never encountered air conditioning restrictions elsewhere. The next explanation was that the staff member was alone and had to call someone. It's a basic service that didn't work, and I won't return. Hotel Hollywood got my money this time, but never another penny. I hope this reaches others looking for somewhere to stay in Cangas.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, but I pass by regularly. It's tucked into the quiet backstreets of cangas and doesn't seem to have an outdoor area. A beautiful urban beach is less than a ten-minute walk away.

Come for the Sky bar and the mojitos.
