We felt welcome as soon as we walked into the lobby. Ana at reception was outstanding and even upgraded our room. Edwin, who runs the entertainment, was second to none and put us at ease. The food was fantastic, with plenty to choose from, and the room was cleaned extremely well every day. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I’d certainly return. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay such a pleasure.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here and had a fabulous holiday. The trip from the airport is long, but we thought it was worth it. The hotel is quiet, with nightly entertainment that was mostly very good. We didn’t use the nightclub or rooftop bar. The only noise we heard was the refuse collectors working overnight. Check-in was easy, and the welcoming staff put us at ease. Our room was on the fifth floor; the couple of elevators were efficient and served every floor. We’d read that the rooms were small, but ours was perfectly adequate, with a super king-size bed, bedside tables, a chair, decent storage, and a good-sized bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The balcony had two chairs and a table, and lovely views over the beach and out to sea. The room was spotless. The restaurant was excellent, with food prepared to a very high standard and enough variety for most people. The chefs and waiting staff were first class. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols by the pool. Towels were available for a fully refundable deposit, and the pool bar served drinks and food throughout the day. The quality was high there too, and the staff were excellent. A few steps lead down to the beach from the pool, where there’s a lifeguard station. We swam in the sea most days, except once when the lifeguard said there were jellyfish. We loved our stay at AluaSoul Carolina and hope to return soon.

This is a clean, modern hotel with stunning sea views, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are on the small side, but the view makes up for that. We were upgraded, thank you. It’s a place to relax by the pool or beach, and the cleaning staff work so hard; the whole hotel was very clean. The entertainment was much better than we expected, and we went to every show. The staff were very friendly, especially Jesus and Mary from the bar. We’d definitely come back. A few things could be better. The pool was freezing, so not many people used it. If it had been warmer, I’d have been in it all the time. The food was repetitive, and there seemed to be a lot of flies around, which put me off eating. They should look at getting fly traps or something. They turned off the air conditioning on September 30, and for the next four nights our room was too hot to sleep well.

We found very little to fault with the hotel or staff. Everyone was pleasant and diligent, especially the bar staff in both bars, who seemed happy in their work. Jesus, often in the Lobby Bar, worked exceptionally hard. He was also often in the dining room and pool area, moving quickly and always smiling. The food selection and quality were above average and better than what we usually get at other hotels. Our only small disappointment was that most balconies and many other areas didn’t get much sun during our late October visit. Personally, I wasn’t keen on the somewhat elitist My Favorite Club arrangements, though I can see why some people might appreciate them.
