Hotel Alondra

The staff were great, always greeting us and helping when needed, and the hotel is in a handy spot. The beach, bars, and restaurants are just a few hundred meters away. There's no hotel car park, but a free one next door, and we had no trouble parking. The pool area was great, with a large pool for adults and kids, lots of sunbeds, and a bar for a beer or snack. The renovation was a decent upgrade. Our rooms were clean and fresh, though there was an annoying foul smell at times, likely from the shower pipes. We had to change rooms because the air conditioning in the first one only blew weakly cold air, which wasn't enough in that heat. It worked much better in the new room. The food was okay for a 3-star hotel, though the ingredients could often have been better. If you're mostly touring the island, I'd avoid half board because it means rushing back for dinner, and dinner wasn't especially promising. Still, it was a great experience overall. A few more upgrades could make the hotel even better.

The staff made the biggest impression. From arrival on, they handled every concern my wife and I had promptly and warmly. Even the little hiccups became chances to impress us, and they succeeded each time. We also loved the pool, with its clear water, spacious sunbathing areas, and tranquil feel. It accounted for all of my relaxation time during the stay. The buffet meals were generous and self-service, with choices ranging from light salad to hearty pasta and sweet treats, so we could pick what suited us. The hotel had been completely renovated just a few days before our stay. Everything felt fresh, modern, and carefully designed for comfort, and the Google photos don't do the rooms' elegance justice. It exceeded our expectations. If you're after modern luxury, a fabulous pool, flexible dining, and caring service, I'd absolutely recommend it.

Breakfast was great, and it's nice and chill here, with a super location. But the recent renovation looks badly done, with lots of defects and unfinished bits around. Our room smelled like hell. After speaking with the hotel staff and reading other reviews, it seems many rooms have a sewage issue, and nobody helps you. It's a shame they're still selling rooms in that condition.

The sea and restaurants are very close, with the beach just a 5-minute walk away. For a 3-star hotel, it's very good, with a fresh renovation, and there's free parking not far away. I liked it 👍👍👍
