Canyamel Park Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

We had a really nice stay, with good food, a nice pool, and a peaceful feel. The hotel was immaculate and just three minutes from the beach. The pool was lovely, though it got busy, with lots of sunbeds reserved with towels. Our room was modern and well equipped, with a large shower. The air conditioning worked well. The bed was a little too firm for me, the only small downside. Food was buffet style and generally European, with lots of choices. They had a grilling and BBQ area for steaks and fish. At breakfast there were fresh eggs, omelettes, scrambled eggs, cereals, cold meats, fruit, and more. A few shops and mini-markets nearby sold most things we might need, like snacks, cold drinks, beer, wine, and spirits. There was a pharmacy in the same area too. A good place if you want to just chill out.

It was quiet and our room was nice and big enough for a honeymoon, since we booked the Privilege room. Having access to two rooftop pools was a nice perk. The spa was okay, but not fully functional because the jacuzzis weren't working properly. There is a lot of room for the hotel to improve. The staff barely spoke English. Cleaning was poor, and even straight after housekeeping the room didn't smell clean. One day the replacement towels smelled awful, so they really need to improve their cleaning methods. The plates and glasses in the dining area were dirty too, with smelly plates and stained glasses. We found the food really disappointing. Some things, including scrambled eggs, fish, and chocolate mousse, tasted like chlorine. There was no Spanish cuisine or regional food. Drinks weren't included, and even water cost extra. The room had a bubble bath, but there was no privacy because neighbors on their balcony could see through the fences. They also didn't have deck chairs on the beach, which would've been nice for a four star superior hotel.

We've come back this summer after our best hotel experience ever. We missed Thomas, the friendliest receptionist ever. The staff are friendly, the food delicious, and the room beautiful, so I can't stop recommending it to anyone planning to visit Mallorca. The one thing I'd suggest fixing is some broken items, like the shower by the sauna and the water blowers in the indoor pool.

It was a great base for touring around the island, in a lovely, quiet area. The staff were excellent throughout, and breakfast had a brilliant selection. We really enjoyed our stay here.
