I never got to use the apartment, so I can only speak about how the situation was handled. I had booked through Booking.com, which offered a full refund if the accommodation accepted it. On the day we were due to arrive, I needed emergency surgery under general anaesthetic and couldn't drive the 200 km. I sent them the dated documentation, but they would only refund 50%, saying Booking.com was the reason they couldn't return more. Then Booking.com confirmed it would accept the refund, but the owner still refused, saying they could no longer rent out the apartment, even though it was a three-night booking and this was only the first day. Before that, they had blamed Booking.com for refusing. I can understand the business side, but being lied to and shown no understanding during such a serious health emergency felt deeply unprofessional and unethical. I was the person who made the booking.

There's plenty of room, and the town center and nearby amenities are close. The apartment itself is nice, though a few things need attention: the bell and toilet roll holder don't work, and the patio door, along with some other doors, doesn't shut properly. Being near the main road and a bar also makes weekends noisy.

Ramona and Diego were lovely, paying attention to every detail and giving us really great service. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, and the location couldn't be better. We'd happily come back and recommend it to others.

We stayed a few days in a three-bedroom apartment and were surprised by how well everything was looked after. The bathrooms were spotless, the linens and towels were in perfect condition, and the place was clean and well maintained. Several rooms had air conditioning, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The staff were very friendly, and the price was reasonable. It felt like being at home.

Whenever we can get away to Almería, we head to Carboneras and Apartamentos Sol Andaluz. It's our go-to place. The apartments are clean and have all the little details, and Diego is a sweetheart, always attentive and happy to provide whatever we've needed. 100% recommend.
