Casa Rural Carcelen

The owners made us feel really welcome and shared tips for local outings, including how to visit the castle. The house itself was roomy, comfortable, clean, and very well equipped and cared for. We especially appreciated the heating, and the fireplace gave the place a romantic feel. I’ve never stayed in a rural house this comfortable.

We had a lovely time in the village, where everyone was very friendly. The castle visit with Sara was a highlight, and Flori's bar is close by for a drink outside the house. The tobacconist next door seems to sell almost everything. The house was warm and cozy during our January stay, with both a fireplace and barbecue. I’d rate it 9 out of 10. We did need to buy extra firewood to use both at once, and some cardboard or egg cartons for lighting the fire would have been useful. We’ll definitely return if we can.

Carcelén is well worth a visit, and we ate plentiful, high-quality food in the village and nearby. We were six couples for the weekend, and the spacious cottage worked well for us: big rooms, good mattresses, lovely bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a living-dining room with a spectacular fireplace that kept us warm. Everything was very clean. The owners were kind, friendly, and helpful. 10 out of 10, we’ll definitely come back.

The owners were the best part, so attentive and professional. The house has all the comforts you could want, and the fireplace was a real treat. It’s been completely renovated but still has its rural charm. I stayed here with friends and we had a great time. A relaxed walk around the village, time out in nature, and a trip to Alcalá del Júcar are all must-dos. 100% recommended.
