The Cortijo is set in lovely countryside, but you’ll need a car to go anywhere. Sevilla and Cordoba are both easy to reach by car. Alejandra and Luis were wonderful hosts, and Roberto the dog helped make us feel welcome too. Our accommodation was very comfortable, and we felt right at home. They were also helpful with suggestions about places to visit, what to see, and where to park. The one downside was the shower’s low water pressure. The overhead shower didn’t work.

This felt like a true Andalucian oasis, with a large pool in a great spot that was open when we visited in late April. Our rooms were spacious and peaceful, the beds were super comfortable, and there was great Wi-Fi and full climate control. Breakfast had exceptional choices, including eggs cooked to order if you asked. Alejandra and Luis were very welcoming, spoke several languages, and had great suggestions for visiting Carmona, which is a must-see, and Seville. It’s an oasis only a 30-minute drive from Seville and under 20 minutes from the airport. A wonderful alternative if you want to explore Seville without dealing with overcrowding and overpriced hotels.
