Hotel Rural Casa Lourido

Really friendly atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the setting, especially the garden full of lovely plants and the nearby trails where I could walk my dog. The owner was very welcoming, too. There were a few things that left me disappointed. The listing said there was no pet fee, but I was charged one and asked to pay in cash. I don't mind paying a pet fee when I'm told about it beforehand. Advertising no fee and then requesting cash felt misleading. My room had a strong mold smell that set off my asthma. I also woke up at 3 AM feeling cold and couldn't turn on the heat. Since there's no front desk, I texted the next day and was told they control the heating, and could switch it on from midnight to 6 AM if I wanted. I loved the area, but I'll stay somewhere else when I visit again.

The breakfast was delicious, with local produce and cake baked by Grandma. The rooms were all thoughtfully decorated, and the craftsmanship in each one felt unique for Galicia ;). The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the beautiful plants, cuddly cats, and little dog gave the place so much soul. Merse welcomed us so warmly to her lovely boutique hotel. Thanks, Merse, I'll definitely be back!

The surrounding area is lovely, with forests, Cala Lourido, and the San Mamede viewpoint. The hotel itself felt like a peaceful little haven, full of flowers, plants, birds, and fruit. Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated, with meticulous attention to detail. Breakfast was spectacular, especially the fresh orchard fruit and homemade citrus marmalades. I absolutely loved my stay, a 10 out of 10!
