The staff were all very helpful, and the clean hotel bar was good value. The beds were comfortable and Wi-Fi reception was good. It’s handy for bars and restaurants, with the port about a 15-minute walk away and the railway and bus stations just two minutes away. I’ve stayed before and would call it a good hotel.

If you’re looking for a clean, simple base in Cartagena, this is good value, especially when you’ll be out sightseeing or walking around town most of the time. The location and convenience are strong points, and the service is friendly. It suits someone who cares more about those things than luxury.

We were able to walk to all the sights, and the half-board rate was great value. Our three-course dinner was decent and meant we didn’t have to head out again after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, too. We had a spacious non-renovated room that was absolutely fine. The bed seemed firm at first, but after a long walk around the city I slept really well.

The reception staff were helpful, and the price was affordable. We only stayed one night. It wasn’t perfectly clean, but the location was near the centre.
