The mountain rides are gorgeous, whether you go at sunset or take a picnic ride, and the horses are lovely and clearly well cared for. Afterward, you can unwind by the pool and have a meal in the traditional pueblo. Darren and Sarah look after you so well. The accommodation is immaculate and comfortable, and breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend a riding holiday here! 💛

From the apartments and grounds to the lake with its little island, everything feels thoughtfully designed and lovingly cared for. The apartments are high class, with all the amenities you could wish for, and there's a big pool with a bar and mountain views. Darren and Sarah are amazing hosts who clearly love their horses. Darren is hilarious on the riding tours, too. Cortijo El Chenil runs Yoga Retreats from September through June, which are deeply relaxing and, if you're open to it, can change your life and open your body, mind, and soul to something greater. Malaga airport is only a half-hour drive away, with super cheap flights. Definitely worth a holiday.

Sarah and Darren were wonderful and made us feel comfortable throughout. My partner had ridden only once before, but felt safe and at ease straight away. We both really enjoyed the trek through the beautiful Andalusian mountains, and we were lucky with the weather. Thanks for a fantastic day. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back! 🤗

The horses are beautiful and very well looked after, which may be the best part. We had a great trek with lovely views, and the friendly staff adjusted the pace to suit the different riding abilities in our family. Highly recommended. If you're in the area, visit Casarabonela nearby, a very genuine Spanish mountain village.
