Those views from our room and the upper deck were amazing, and the lemons were delicious! The staff were so polite and friendly. There are lots of places to walk to and explore. We had a wonderful stay, and I can’t wait to come back.

The food options nearby make it easy to skip the car: La Sal is just a few metres away, there are Chiringuitos within a 5-15 minute walk, and the Finca Cortesin Beach club is 10 minutes on foot. With a car, beautiful Estepona is just over a 10-minute drive away, Casares village about 15 minutes, Marbella 25 minutes and Gibraltar 30 minutes. Malaga airport is roughly an hour away. It’s a great spot for a relaxing break. The well-maintained urbanization has beach-front access and excellent views. Apartments are spacious and well laid out, with great views, and the mix of owners from different nationalities gives it a nice cosmopolitan feel.

There are clean swimming pools, green public areas and apartments with superb views. It feels like a quiet haven in the middle of Costa Del Golf, close to Estepona and other towns, yet quaint and with what is essentially its own private beach.

It was so good in real life that I put in a bid on one of the apartments. Fantasy Island, really.

The food is generally good, often very good, especially the fish. But eating outside can be really windy at night, and in summer there are loads of flies. Prices tend to be high, and the wine is very expensive. In spring and autumn you can’t tell when they’ll be open, so I’ve stopped checking. It’s a shame, because with a bit more attention this could be one of the best chiringuitos along this stretch of coast.
