Alcazaba Lagoon, Brand New 2 bed Apartment

An absolute paradise.

It’s an okay place, but clearly set up for tourists, like everything else. If you manage to get a cheap entrance ticket, that’s fine, but otherwise the price is exorbitant. The restaurant food is expensive and only passable, and the drinks are much the same. It feels like tourists are being ripped off.

The apartment is new, clean, spacious, fully equipped, and has a terrace in a completely quiet spot. In the protected area, there’s a lovely pool about 100 meters away that’s accessible at any time. The lagoon is about half a kilometre from the apartment, a large, beautiful, artificial swimming area with a sandy beach that’s suitable for children. You can rent boats, paddleboards, and catamarans there, and there’s a bar and restaurant. We really enjoyed the restaurant, the staff were friendly, and apartment residents get a 10% discount. Residents can enter the lagoon freely using a chip. You definitely need a car. A beautiful seaside beach and a small supermarket are both about nine minutes away by car. Carefour, a large supermarket with a good selection of local specialties, is in Estepona, around 15 minutes away. Gibraltar is also a memorable day trip, about an hour’s drive. It belongs to the Kingdom of England and, although small, has lots to see, including monkeys 😁. There’s an amazing viewpoint where you can see the African coast across the bay. It’s a full-day outing for children and adults alike. I definitely recommend the apartment, and we’ll be happy to come back.
