AZZ Castellar Hacienda El Alcornocal

We always had somewhere peaceful to stop and take in the views, whether by the pool, on the trails, or doing sports. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and it was just the escape we needed to relax and reconnect with nature. The team welcomed us warmly and helped us plan activities with useful local tips. Meals were tasty and nourishing, with regional flavors throughout. Hacienda El Alcornocal made for a lovely mix of romance, downtime, and adventure. A really memorable stay in Spain.

The meals were a treat from breakfast through dinner, with delicious dishes that brought out regional flavors in an authentic but creative way. We also found the rooms more comfortable and attractive than we’d expected. What really made our stay at Hacienda El Alcornocal was the service, every staff member seemed to go out of their way to make things easy for us. I’d absolutely recommend it if you want to relax, eat well, and be looked after.

The courtyard is a lovely place for lunch, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and patient with my two children. Everything we ate was delicious, especially the prawns. We haven’t stayed overnight yet, so I can’t speak to the rooms, but the restaurant is well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.

The tennis courts were a fun part of the weekend, and I had a one hour lesson arranged through the hotel. My wife and I also took long walks among the alcornocales and drove around the area, which has plenty to see, including Ronda and Marbella. The service was warm and impeccable, and the food was fantastic. Don’t miss the steak tartar. I highly recommend staying at Hacienda El Alcornocal.
