Hotel Boutique dONNA Superior

We stayed here last summer and had a disappointing experience. The staff were quite rude, and our room was very dirty. We told reception, but they didn't move us to another room or offer any compensation. We also asked the hotel to arrange a taxi to the airport. The taxi, which the hotel had ordered, charged us extra through what seemed like illegal fees. When we told reception afterward, they did nothing. Overall, a very poor stay.

Breakfast was a letdown for the price. Scrambled eggs were the only hot dish, the other choices were very limited, and the orange juice wasn't fresh. Staff also seemed to have problems with clients regularly, and sometimes came across as rude or dismissive. The atmosphere felt tense instead of welcoming. The room phone didn't work, so I had to go down to reception whenever I wanted to order food or ask something. The bathroom lighting was dim, and there was nowhere to hang a towel. The hotel did its basic job, but these details, the breakfast and the service make it hard to recommend.

The hotel's location is good, and with more care it could be a very nice place. But when we first arrived, our room was still full of the previous guests' rubbish and hadn't been cleaned at all. Although the website listed check-in at 2, the room wasn't ready until 4. The clerk kept arguing about the check-in time and repeating, "20 more minutes, 20 more minutes." There were broken or damaged pieces of furniture, dirty walls, and worn, low-quality towels, linens and furniture in both the room and pool area. It seems the hotel may once have been nice, but the upkeep and service were seriously lacking.

The photos made this seem perfect for my family, but our rooms were really, REALLY filthy. After we asked for another cleaning, they were still disgusting. There was dust and hair everywhere, and the walls were covered with grime and dead insects. They even left our door open after cleaning, so anyone could have entered. There were dead animals in the yard, and they weren't removed when we asked. During our stay, they never cleaned our rooms, only replaced the towels and made the bed. The rooms were very noisy, and we could hear everyone and everything. There was also lots of glass with handprints that weren't ours. The photos were taken AFTER we asked them to clean again. I do NOT recommend staying here.
