Hotel 153

The bathroom could do with an upgrade, and the walls are a little thin, so sometimes you hear the neighbors. Apart from that, it was a pleasant short stay at Hotel 153. The hotel was clean and comfortable, in a handy location close to everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The chef handled my allergy and intolerance satisfactorily, though there’s room to do better. This is a nice little hotel for a short trip, close to both the beach and town. The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything through the neighboring room’s door. The pool was really cold, but I visited in April, so I didn’t expect the spring sun to warm an unheated pool.

The hotel was nicely designed and very clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly and quietly. I slept like a baby. Getting an unexpected upgrade was a bonus, and the stay exceeded what I’d expected. Really good value for the money.

Some reception staff could be friendlier. A couple of them had a grumpy look, as if helping me were a favor, and seemed to forget that customers keep the hotel running. Still, it’s a great hotel in an excellent location and good value.
