The location in Castellón made getting to local attractions and public transport easy, and the staff were polite. Still, they weren’t efficient or responsive when we raised problems. The most serious one was a major leak over the toilet. It was both inconvenient and a hygiene and safety concern, and after we told the staff, they didn’t fix it promptly or offer another room. The dampness made the stay uncomfortable. The room was dated, with scuffed walls, worn furniture, and thin pillows, and the property badly needs renovation. Floors and surfaces didn’t seem properly cleaned when we arrived. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway made it hard to rest, and the basic amenities fell short of what was advertised. I stayed at Hotel Bag on the 25th and 26th of April, and found the experience very disappointing. It feels like a substandard place that misses basic hospitality expectations. There was no drinking water in the room, so we had to go out and find our own. Breakfast and dinner were both poor, with very little selection and low-quality food that seemed to have had little effort put into it. I wouldn’t recommend staying until management improves cleanliness, staff training, and basic room amenities. There are better options in Castellón that understand guest comfort.

The hotel stayed very loud until 1AM, then the noise started up again at 7AM, so sleep was impossible. The room smelled strongly of smoke, and one of the beds wasn’t even prepared. I’d booked a suite with two beds hoping for a comfortable night.

The location is in an industrial area, with just a gas station nearby and no shops or restaurants. Inside, everything was old and worn out, the mattresses smelled disgusting, and breakfast was very, very poor.

Cleanliness was also a problem: the floors and surfaces didn’t seem properly cleaned when we arrived, and the dampness made the room uncomfortable. The place felt dated and badly in need of renovation. Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway made it hard to rest, and the amenities didn’t meet expectations. My recent stay at Hotel Bag in Castellon de la Plana was disappointing enough for a 1-star rating. I wouldn’t recommend it and suggest looking for other accommodation in Castellon de la Plana.
