Eurohotel Castelló Estació

We stayed for a week, and the hotel felt dated throughout, with uninspired rooms and shared spaces that didn’t seem modern. The WiFi was extremely poor and barely worked. Breakfast was included for the whole week, but after three days we were already tired of the low-quality, repetitive food. It felt more like a cheap hostel cafeteria than a 4 star hotel. There was little variety, and even the few items they had weren’t always put out. The price and 4 star label just aren’t justified.

Aurel and Ramona at reception gave us a really special welcome as soon as we came in. The hotel was clean, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety.

The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, with typical Spanish dishes as well as eggs and bacon. It’s self-service, so it could get a bit chaotic at busy times. We hadn’t been to Castellón before, so we were glad breakfast was included. We didn’t eat at the hotel beyond that, but there were lots of places an easy walk away. The hotel is centrally located, opposite the bus station. There’s underground parking for an extra 10€, which seemed good value. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a spacious bathroom and a bath with an overhead shower.

We didn’t manage to try the free breakfast because the hours, 7AM to 10:30 AM on weekdays and 7AM to 11AM on weekends, were too early after getting back late from the festival. The hotel was a great deal for the price and amenities, with comfortable beds and a clean room. It was conveniently placed for Rototom, about a short 15 min drive to Benicassim or the beach. There’s also underground parking for €10 a day, which is pretty reasonable.
